Our Story


Co-owner Sakeo Williams crafted her version of the mochi donut during the pandemic to boost business for her Thai restaurant. Her naturally gluten-free treats, always served warm and fresh, quickly became a sensation among patrons. This caught the attention of local entrepreneurs and family friends, Greg and Tamara San Agustin. They proposed the idea of launching Colorado Springs’ first brick-and-mortar made-to-order mochi donut shop to share the delectable treats with a wider audience. Recognizing the perfect pairing, they decided to include a drink menu featuring popular boba toppings. Thus, Mochi Thai’m Donuts was born, drawing inspiration from Sakeo’s Thai heritage, wordplay, and her distinctive bun hairstyle. From our open kitchen design to vibrant donut boxes and a sprawling hand-painted mural adorning the walls, our aim is to create an unforgettable and exciting experience for our customers.




Furthermore, we sought to celebrate our multicultural backgrounds—Thai, Filipino, and Guamanian—by infusing our flavors with diversity. Our customers can savor a variety of exotic flavors, including Ube, Taro, Thai tea, Pandan, Passionfruit, and Coconut, among others, ensuring a culinary journey with each bite and sip.

Mochi Thai’m Donuts is a brand of Mochi Donuts which is a fusion of Japanese mochi and American-style donuts made popular by its irresistible flavors and addictively chewy texture. Our donuts are always fried fresh for each order and our unique shape make them perfect for pulling apart and sharing. Our menu also includes a variety of delectable drinks and toppings like our delicious brown sugar boba made fresh everyday in our housemade brown sugar syrup.

WHAT MAKES MOCHI THAI’M DONUTS SO SPECIAL 


Most mochi donuts are made with both rice and wheat flour. At Mochi Thai’m, we use only rice flour, which results in delicious donuts that are naturally 100% gluten-free. The rice flour gives our donuts a crispy exterior and a soft and chewy center. In addition, we only use real, high quality ingredients in our house made dough and real fruit in our scratch made glazes.


We are known for our delicious flavors that range from popular classics like salted caramel and cookies n crème to unique flavors like Ube and Thai tea. In addition to our 8 daily flavors, we offer 4 new, enticing flavors that change weekly keeping the tastebuds excited!
